Pretty sure this will eventually become the official release from the GIMP team, I just can't take over maintenance of it for them until Circle-Ci bothers to order some M1 hardware so they can run native builds. I got super tired of the weird issues with GIMP, so I made an apple dev account and ported it over to apple silicon.
